Cheques from customers

  • Accounts records the cheque against one or more invoices. It takes its own number (PDCR/2026/0001) and reads On hand.
  • The Owner chooses whether a cheque pays the invoice on receipt or only once it clears.
  • The day before the cheque date, Accounts gets a to-do: deposit the cheque tomorrow.
  • Deposit several cheques in one click and print the Cheque Deposit Slip · قسيمة إيداع شيكات for the bank.
  • When the bank statement line is matched, the cheque reads Cleared.

When a cheque bounces

  • Record the bounce: the deposit and the payment are reversed, and the invoice is open again.
  • The bank charge is booked, and the bounced cheque fee you set can be added to the customer's balance.
  • The customer is marked cash only until the Owner clears the flag.
  • Re-present the cheque, or take a new one for the invoices still open.

Cheques you give

  • Pay a supplier with a cheque dated today or later, and print it on your bank's cheque leaf.
  • The day before the cheque date, Accounts is reminded to check the bank balance.
  • Security cheques given and received are kept in their own register, with no entry in your accounts.
