How Gigoo handles roles and permissions

Five ready-made roles: everyone sees only what their job needs. On top of the role, the Owner turns on the permissions each person may have.

The five roles

  • Owner: everything, including settings, users and roles.
  • Operations: CRM and all of Operations: sales, purchase and the warehouse.
  • Sales: CRM and the sales menus, for their own customers.
  • Accounts: Finance, with read access to Operations for invoices, bills and balances.
  • Store: the warehouse: goods received, delivery notes, returns, stock counts and damage.

Permissions on top of the role

  • See costs and margins: costs and margins only for the people you choose.
  • Approve LPOs over the approval amount, Override credit limit and Approve discounts: each logged on the document.
  • See all sales: all customers and orders, instead of the user's own.
  • Management dashboards: the management overview.

Controls built in

  • Credit notes are made from the return, or by Accounts or the Owner.
  • Document numbers can't be edited or reused.
  • Stock changes only through recorded adjustments.
  • A confirmation before anything posts to your accounts (on by default).
