Print the bill, add a tip when the guest asks, take cash or card, and give the receipt as a Simplified Tax Invoice in English and Arabic.
What Gigoo does for you
The payment screen shows the total and the amount per guest. Cash and card, or both on one bill.
Tips are added at payment only when the guest asks, kept out of VAT and sales (Tips Payable), and reported as owed and paid out to staff.
The receipt prints at the counter as a Simplified Tax Invoice in English and Arabic with your TRN. A company that needs a full tax invoice gets one.
Gift cards and loyalty points at the till. Gift cards are sold and taken while they are on, and never shown on the guests' QR menu.
A customer display for the guest, on a second screen or a second tablet, follows the order and the payment in English and Arabic.
Packaged items such as water or chips are sold with a USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner, with no kitchen ticket.
The till keeps selling when the internet drops, and sends its orders when it is back.
Card sales wait in Card Settlements Pending until the bank's settlement is matched.
What you do
Open the table and click ⋮, then Bill: the bill prints on the till's printer. The table's tile reads Bill printed until it is paid.
Click Payment. If the guest adds a tip, click Tip and type the amount.
Click Cash or Card. For cash, type or tap what the guest gave.
Click Validate. Print Full Receipt prints it again, or type the guest's e-mail to send it.
A tax invoice, a refund
For a company, click Customer, pick the company and tick Invoice before Validate: the receipt is titled Tax Invoice, and Gigoo makes the A4 invoice, posted and paid. A refund is made on the till from the paid order, with the restaurant's reasons (Wrong dish served, Quality complaint, Long wait, Order mistake, Other); its receipt is a Tax Credit Note, and the manager's PIN is asked when needed.
