Worked examples

Real cases on a demo restaurant with made-up data, from start to end and step by step. Every number was recorded on the real screens.

• A table for four: order, kitchen, a removal with the manager's PIN, split bill, tip

  Tariq takes table 4's order and sends it to the kitchen; the Fattoush comes off with Youssef's PIN; one guest pays their share by card and the rest of the table pays in cash with a tip. Arjun takes both payments.

• A QR order from table 5, paid at the counter

  Guests at table 5 scan the QR card and order from the phone; nothing is paid online. The order reaches the till on its table: Arjun checks it and taps Send, then takes the payment at the counter after the meal.

• Closing the day: open tables settled, Z report, tips owed, the session posted

  Youssef cannot close the Counter till while three tables are open; Arjun takes the payment of two, Youssef takes the never-served one's dishes off and releases it, then closes the till with counts that match. The session posts at once; the Tips report shows what is owed to staff.
