How Gigoo Restaurant handles your tables and the kitchen

Your floor plan shows every table at a glance. Orders go to the kitchen and the bar by station, and only what is new is sent.

What Gigoo does for you

  • Each table shows at a glance whether it is free, seated or ordered, with the amount and the minutes since the guests sat down. A table open 90 minutes or more stands out.
  • Dine in, takeaway and phone delivery. A takeaway asks only a name. A delivery asks for the customer with an address and stays open until the driver is back, then it is paid at the till.
  • Dishes with options such as spice, size or extras with a price, combos, notes for the kitchen and courses.
  • Orders print in the kitchen by station on Epson network (ePOS) printers: food to the kitchen, drinks to the bar. Only new items are sent, and an item taken off prints as cancelled.
  • Waiters can take orders on their own phones or tablets on the same till.
  • Every order keeps its own number. A cancelled order keeps its number too, so no number is missing.

What you do

  • Click the table on the floor plan. The order opens with the table, the floor, the guests and the order type at the top.
  • Click the dishes on the menu. A dish with options opens a box to pick them, with any extra price shown next to its choice.
  • Add a request for the kitchen with Note.
  • Click the orange button at the bottom left: it lists what is new by menu category. The new items go to the kitchen and the till goes back to the floor plan.
  • When the table orders more, open it again and send the new dishes the same way.

Move a table, merge, split the bill

Transfer / Merge moves an order to an empty table, or merges it with the order of a table that already has one. Split puts the dishes you choose on a new order of the same table, which the guest pays on its own.

The kitchen printers

Each kitchen station has its menu categories and the address of its Epson network printer: its fixed IP address on your network or its serial number. Test prints a test receipt, and Get started ticks itself once every station prints. A printed ticket is a step on your printer, so it is described here in words.
